FAQ

WAX MELT CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Typically these wax melts have 8 to 10+ hours of scent throw per melt piece. They are long lasting, highly fragranced and provide many hours of melt time. To use the wax melts, place 1 or 2 pieces (depending on room size) in your wax warmer. They can be used several times as long as the fragrance lasts. When the scent has faded, carefully pour out melted wax (not in a sink) or soak up with cotton ball and wipe the dish clean.

WICKLESS CANDLE CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Remove lid and place wickless candle on warmer.  When you are finished using the candle, simply turn off the warmer and wax will solidify until you ready for next use.  Burn in 4 hour increments for best results.  Typically these candles have a burn time of 50+ hours.  Wait until candle is completely cooled before handling.  Candle tin will be HOT!

CANDLE CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Allow your candle to burn for 2+ hours during first burn.  Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.  It is IMPORTANT to always trim your wick to 1/4 inch (5 mm) before each use.  The ideal surface for use is heat safe, away from drafts and out.  Keep out of reach of pets, children, draperies and furniture.

Do not move the candle while burning or if the wax is hot.  Never leave a burning candle unattended.  When 1/4 inch of wax remains, retire the candle.

Please be sure to read the safety sticker on your container, as well as the candle care card provided with your purchase prior to burning your candle, and follow the instructions to ensure optimal performance and safety when burning your candles.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What kind of wax do you use?

Our products are comprised of soy blend wax.

How do I keep my candles looking their best?

Candles can discolor or fade when exposed to intense light for extended periods or if stored in warm or humid areas.  It is not recommended to display your candles for long periods of time in direct sunlight or fluorescent lighting.  Store your candles in a cool, dry place if they are going to be stored for an extended period of time.

What kind of wicks do you use?

We use high quality crackling wooden wicks selected to work optimally with our wax blend.

What do I need to know about wooden wicks?  Do I need to trim them?

Wooden wicks will always vary in burn profile and consistency.  Due to the nature of the raw wood material, no two wooden wicks are exactly the same.  This may cause variations in how they burn.

Between burns, pinch or snip off the black tip of the wick and relight.  Occasionally wooden wicks will struggle to stay lit or burn at the same rate.  Trim as much of the black charred end off as possible and enjoy!

Why do most candles say to discontinue use of the candle when 1/4 inch of wax remains in the bottom?

This is simply a safety issue and it is generally recommended by candle maker and retailers.  Glass will get hot on the bottom as the wick nears the base.  It can cause cracking, breaking, or damage underneath the glass.  We recommend burning all candles on heat resistant surfaces as well.
